We had reserved a table on the sun deck and arrived well ahead of time. We started off with a special beer. The Christmas party meal had been ordered in advance. Fantastic dishes, great service, and a wide variety of schnapps to go with it.

Last Friday, the company held a Christmas partyat Færgecafeen, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Everything was perfect—the food, the service, the cleanliness, the staff, the atmosphere, and so on. All 18 of us give it our highest recommendations.

 Confirmed A great overall experience
The first time I visited Færgecaféen was in 1980; I sat at the back table facing west—to use maritime terminology. It was a business lunch with a freight forwarding company from the airport—I’d invited them through my management position at a bank. Perfect. I’ve visited Færgecaféen many times since then as a private individual, both with family and former colleagues. The café has a great atmosphere and original interior—check out the mosaic on the ceiling and the fun details by the exit door featuring a hand. But the most important thing, after all, is the food—from the daily special, such as skipper’s stew, to the “Sailor’s Table” platter or other delicious options from the menu for lunch. In the evening, the café serves a Wiener schnitzel that’s really good. Their aged cheese with rum and other accompaniments is also perfect. You can’t get better service or hospitality—the old spirit has been preserved.

One of Copenhagen's most pleasant venues for private events

Our ferry is moored in Wilders Kanal off our restaurant at Strandgade 50. The ferry is a converted fireboat with its own bar, toilets, and sun deck. There is room for 40 seated guests below deck and 18 seated guests on the sun deck, which is covered and heated when the season requires it.

The ferry provides the perfect setting for your private event, such as a company party, where you want a little privacy.

If you are hosting an evening event, we are happy to convert the boat into a dance floor and bar so you can let your hair down.

If you are planning to hold your party in the summer, the top deck of the ferry is an ideal place to enjoy the view of the canal, the company, and the delicious food from Kabyssen.
