General reservations

For reservations with more than 8 guests

To avoid unnecessary waiting time for you and other guests, we ask that food be pre-ordered. Drinks to accompany the meal are best ordered at the table and paid for together with the meal for the entire party.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay individually due to waiting times for you and other guests – but we are happy to help divide the bill between several tables if desired.

For reservations with more than 12 guests

As a group, you will need to choose a set menu in advance. Children and vegetarians are of course exempt. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions due to our planning requirements in the kitchen and restaurant.

If you do not wish to purchase a drinks package but would like to order drinks on the day, these will be available from a limited drinks menu. For parties of more than 16 people, drinks must be partially pre-ordered for the event. Payment is made together with the food and drinks for either the entire party or per table. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay individually due to waiting times for you and other guests – but we are happy to help divide the bill between several tables if desired.

When booking larger parties in the future, we will typically ask for a reservation fee of DKK 3,000, which will be deducted from the final bill.

For reservations during Christmas

However, slightly different rules apply for the busier Christmas party days, Fridays and Saturdays from November 11 to December 26, when a reservation fee of DKK 200 per registered guest applies to all events. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.

General principles

Christianshavn Færgecafé is a smoke-free restaurant. However, smoking is permitted in our outdoor areas. If you bring your own wine, chocolate, cake, etc., a fee will be charged in accordance with Christianshavn Færgecafé's specific rates. Lunch parties must leave the restaurant by 5:00 p.m. at the latest, unless otherwise agreed. The restaurant closes at 11:00 p.m. at the latest, unless otherwise agreed. If the entire restaurant is not rented, Christianshavns Færgecafé will arrange the tables so that there can be other guests in the room.

When renting the restaurant, the table arrangement can be determined by the guest. When using confetti and other activities that require extra cleaning, cleaning costs of DKK 500 per hour or part thereof must be expected.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation or reductions in the number of participants up to 30 days prior to the event, the full amount will be refunded or offset against the final invoice. For cancellations or reductions in the number of participants later than 30 days before the event, we ask for compensation for the planning of the reserved seats and our staff planning.

Unless otherwise agreed, the following applies:

25% of the full cover price for covers canceled later than 30 days before
50% of the full cover price for covers canceled later than 15 days before
75% of the full cover price for covers canceled later than 4 days before
100% of the full cover price for covers canceled on the day itself.

However, for companies that have reserved a room, the stated minimum turnover still applies regardless of the reduction in the number of people.
All cancellations must be made in writing via email to kontakt@faergecafeen.dk and must be confirmed by email.
Remember that both parties are, of course, bound by the reservation in accordance with Horesta.

Force majeure

In extreme circumstances beyond the control of the parties, cancellation may occur without compensation. The Christianshavn Ferry is a real ferry that floats on water. This contributes to making a party or conference on the Christianshavn Ferry a unique experience. However, it also means that in extreme and rare weather conditions, it may be necessary to cancel the "voyage" just like on other real ships. In such cases, the "ticket price" will of course be refunded.
Should one or more of your guests suffer from seasickness, our staff will be happy to provide seasickness bracelets.
