Evening menu

Classic Danish food in old town Copenhagen

The owner of Christianshavns Færgecafé 'Captain Eric' brings good old Danish 'hygge' to the table.

At Christianshavn's Færgecafé, the evening menu focuses on good Danish cuisine.

The owner 'Captain' Erik and his crew entertain guests with homemade Danish food, prepared from the best seasonal ingredients, just like Our Mother used to make it.

We serve Danish classics such as smørrebrød, roast pork and tartlets. Complete your meal by exploring our collection of homemade schnapps - we call them Skippersnapse.

It doesn’t become more traditional, Danish cuisine than this!

We are currently updating our menu, and the options above will be available starting September the 2nd.

Beverages

On our wine list, you'll find specially selected bottles in the price range of 350 to 700 Danish kroner. We adore classic wines with personality, just as we prepare our food. On the menu, you'll discover both old and new producers, and sometimes we even have natural wines. We're also happy to pour you a generous glass if you don't want to commit to a whole bottle. Anything you don't find on the menu, we can search for in the cellar. We have a stock of excellent bottles for those of you looking for something different.

For those with a thirst for beer, we always have a wide selection on tap and in bottles. Our seven taps change with the season and our mood, and you can quench your thirst with beers from breweries like Mikkeller, To Øl, and local breweries like Amager Bryghus and Nørrebro Bryghus. We also have non-alcoholic beer available, with prices varying.

We make our own schnapps from scratch. See our schnapps menu here.
